Worth knowing about the 2015 ILX
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Bulbs. The 2.4L and models with HID headlights use a D2S low-beam bulb, and the manual lists the brake/tail bulb as 21/5 W and the license bulb as 5 W.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. Tire chains go on the front tires only (Acura recommends SCC Radial Chain SC1032 cables), the 2.0L compact spare is a T135/80D15 and the 2.4L's a T135/80D16.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 80 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Key fob. Key catalogs list both a KR5434760 and a KR5V1X four-button smart key for 2015, so match the FCC ID printed on the old key.
- Octane. The manual requires 87 octane and recommends 91 for full performance. Regular will not harm the engine; premium is a choice, not a requirement.
