Worth knowing about the 2025 RDX

  • Wipers. Rain-X lists 9x3 hook arms for the front blades, and the rear blade size is not confirmed.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, front turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. The rear turn signal is the only exterior light with a replaceable bulb, and its code is not confirmed.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits tire chains or cables, within limits on which tires and which wheels. Those limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything. Search Amazon for tire chains →
  • Tires. Chains go on the front tires only, and because clearance is limited the manual recommends QCC Cobra 1046 cables, while the T155/90D17 compact spare is not on every model.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 80 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Octane. The manual recommends 91 octane for full performance and allows 87. 87 will not harm the engine; the higher grade is a choice, not a requirement.
  • Fuel. The manual recommends 91 octane premium and warns that fuel below 87 octane can damage the engine.
