Worth knowing about the 2023 Escalade
- Wipers. The front arms use a push-button connector, and some fit guides list an 11-inch rear blade where GM specifies 12 inches.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a full-size spare.
- Tire chains. The manual says not to fit tire chains on this vehicle; wheel-well clearance is too tight.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 140 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (YG0G20TB1) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. A 5-button version without the rear glass button was also used.
- Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The 220 lb limit includes the cross rails, or the accessory maker's lower rating if it is less.
- Octane. The manual requires 87 octane and recommends 91 for full performance. Regular will not harm the engine; premium is a choice, not a requirement.
- Fuel. The optional 3.0L Duramax diesel uses diesel fuel.
