Worth knowing about the 2014 Cruze
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Bulbs. One H13 dual-filament bulb serves the low and high beams, and the manual's 7443NA rear turn bulb disagrees with the 7440NA bulb makers list, so that position is left open.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual says not to fit tire chains on this vehicle; wheel-well clearance is too tight.
- Tires. The Eco and Diesel come with a tire sealant and inflator kit instead of the compact spare, and the manual forbids tire chains.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 100 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool (the manual's TPMS sensor matching process with a relearn tool)); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (OHT01060512) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. Cars with remote start have a 5-button key, and cars with Keyless Access use a flip key with FCC ID OHT05918179.
- Fuel. The Eco with the manual transmission has a 12.6-gallon tank, and the 2.0L diesel takes ultra-low sulfur diesel.
