Worth knowing about the 2018 Equinox
- Wipers. Some blade makers list a 13-inch rear blade where the manual gives 30 cm, so match the rear by the GM part number.
- Bulbs. The 9012 (HIR2) halogen headlamp is on L and LS; HID or LED headlamps and LED taillamps differ.
- Wheels. The 2018 manual prints 190 N-m (140 lb ft) for these M12 wheel studs, which later manuals give as 140 N-m (100 lb ft), so no figure is shown until a corrected 2018 manual is found.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. The smart key came in 3-, 4- and 5-button versions depending on remote start and power liftgate.
- Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Fuel. The manual recommends 93 octane premium for the 2.0L turbo engine.
