Worth knowing about the 2009 Malibu
- Wipers. Rain-X lists these blades on a pinch-tab-button arm, which no second source names, so the connector is not printed.
- Bulbs. The manual's bulb chart lists only the back-up, license and turn bulbs; the headlamp bulbs are not in it.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tires. The manual says not to fit chains on P215/60R16, P225/50R17 or P225/50R18 tires.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 100 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car will not pair on their own by driving; they need a relearn. Method: tool (the manual's TPMS sensor matching process with a relearn tool).
