Worth knowing about the 2020 Silverado 1500
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a full-size spare.
- Tires. The WT's 17-inch size is standard; other sizes are listed with the trims GM's brochure names for them where it does, and every size the manual names is included, so check the door placard for yours.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 140 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool (the manual's TPMS sensor matching process)); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Fuel. The 24-gallon tank is for gas short and standard boxes; long-box trucks hold 28 gallons, and the manual highly recommends 93 octane for the 6.2L V8.
