Worth knowing about the 2013 Spark

  • Wipers. Blade makers list both 15-inch and 16-inch passenger blades for this car, so that length is left open, and Rain-X lists the front arms as a push-button (D-PTB) type.
  • Bulbs. One H13 dual-filament bulb serves the low and high beams.
  • No spare. This vehicle shipped without a spare tire; it carries an inflator and sealant kit instead. Keep the kit in date, or carry a compact spare. Search Amazon for inflator kits →
  • Tire chains. The manual restricts tire chains on this vehicle. The limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything.
  • Tires. A tire sealant and compressor kit replaces a spare tire, and the manual forbids tire chains.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 92 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car will not pair on their own by driving; they need a relearn. Method: tool (the manual's TPMS sensor matching process with a relearn tool).
