Worth knowing about the 2020 Spark

  • Wipers. Blade makers list both 13-inch and 14-inch passenger blades for this car, so that length is left open.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tire chains. The manual says not to fit tire chains on this vehicle.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 100 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car will not pair on their own by driving; they need a relearn. Method: tool (the manual's TPMS sensor matching process with a relearn tool).
  • Roof load. The 110 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Roof. Roof rails come only on the ACTIV.
