Worth knowing about the 2025 Suburban
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 140 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (YG0G21TB2) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. Part numbers vary with the 3 to 6-button layouts, so match the number on your fob.
- Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The 220 lb limit includes the cross rails and any carrier, or the accessory maker's lower rating if it is less.
- Fuel. For the 6.2L V8 the manual recommends 91 octane or higher, and the 3.0L Duramax diesel uses diesel fuel.
