Worth knowing about the 2015 Tahoe
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Bulbs. The H11 low beam applies to halogen headlamps.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a full-size spare.
- Tire chains. The manual says not to fit tire chains on this vehicle; wheel-well clearance is too tight.
- Tires. The manual forbids tire chains on the 18, 20 and 22-inch sizes and allows rear-axle chains only on P255/70R17 or P265/70R17 tires.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 140 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool (the manual's TPMS sensor matching process with a relearn tool)); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (M3N32337100) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. The remote came in 3- to 6-button versions depending on remote start and power liftgate, and trucks with push-button start use a smart key that also takes a CR2032.
- Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
