Worth knowing about the 2018 Traverse
- Bulbs. HID headlamps use a D3S bulb, and the base halogen headlamp and front turn bulb codes were not confirmed.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 140 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. The smart key came in 3-, 4- and 5-button versions depending on remote start and power liftgate.
- Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Fuel. The manual recommends 93 octane premium for the 2.0L turbo engine.
