Worth knowing about the 2024 Traverse

  • Wipers. Bosch and Trico list conventional 24- and 20-inch front blades, but no source confirmed the arm connector.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. The manual says every exterior lamp uses LED light sources with no serviceable bulbs.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 140 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Key fob. Match the FCC ID (YG0G21TB2) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
  • Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Roof. The limit includes the cross rails and any carrier or accessory on them.
  • Fuel. AWD models hold 21.7 gallons.
