Worth knowing about the 2022 Pacifica

  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. The manual lists only the front turn bulb (WY21W, also sold as 7440NA) and W3W side-marker bulbs as replaceable; every other exterior lamp is a dealer-serviced LED.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
  • Tires. The manual allows front-only cable or chain devices with no more than 9 mm projection on the 235/65R17 and 235/60R18 sizes only.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 100 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Wheels. The Pacifica Hybrid has its own owner's manual and is not included here.
  • Roof load. The 150 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Roof. The crossbars stow inside the side rails and must be swung out before carrying any roof load.
  • Fuel. The Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid has its own manual and a smaller tank.
