Worth knowing about the 2008 Avenger
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Tires. The manual does not recommend tire chains on this car because of limited clearance.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 100 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Fuel. Partial-zero-emissions (PZEV) 2.4L cars hold 18.4 gallons, the 3.5L AWD holds 17.3, and the 3.5L V6 takes 87 to 89 octane.
