The size on the placard inside the driver's door jamb is the one your car left the factory with. Match that, not this table, if they differ; a previous owner may have changed wheels.

Worth knowing about the 2012 Charger
- LED lighting. The rear turn signal, brake light, tail light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. The HID headlamps use D3S bulbs that a dealer services.
- Tire chains. The manual permits tire chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), within limits on which tires and which wheels. Those limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything. Search Amazon for tire chains →
- Tires. The manual allows only Class S traction devices: standard chains on P215/65R17, a named low-profile model on P225/60R18 and P235/55R18, and another on P235/55R19.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 110 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. This torque figure is from the standard owner's manual, which does not cover SRT models.
- Fuel. The 5.7-liter V8 recommends 89 octane, with 87 acceptable.
