Worth knowing about the 2018 Durango

  • LED lighting. The rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. The 9005 code is for the bi-halogen projector headlamps; bi-xenon (D3S) lamps are dealer-serviced.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits tire chains or cables, within limits on which tires and which wheels. Those limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything. Search Amazon for tire chains →
  • Tires. The manual allows only low-profile traction devices (XG-12 PRO type) on the rear tires.
  • Wheels. The manual gives 130 ft-lbf for the models it covers; the SRT takes its own figure, which this manual does not print.
  • Roof load. The 150 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Garage fit. Allow 16.8 ft of length and 7.2 ft of width with the mirrors out.
  • Fuel. The 5.7-liter V8 recommends 89 octane, with 87 acceptable.
