Worth knowing about the 2012 Expedition
- Wipers. The rear blade is Motorcraft WW-1601-PF, so buy it by part number.
- Bulbs. Each headlamp uses one H13 (9008) bulb for both beams.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 150 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. Retighten the lug nuts to 150 lb-ft within 100 miles after any wheel is removed, as the manual directs.
- Roof load. The 200 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Fuel. The Expedition EL holds 33.5 gallons.
