Worth knowing about the 2020 F-350
- LED lighting. The dome / map light is a sealed LED unit with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. Codes are for halogen low- and mid-series trucks (Ford prints WTY21W and WT21W for the rear turn and reversing bulbs), and high-series trucks have sealed LED headlamps, fog lamps and rear lamps.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 150 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. Retighten the lug nuts to 150 lb-ft after 100 miles, and on dual-rear-wheel trucks again at 500 miles of new-vehicle use, as the manual directs.
- Key fob. Trucks with push-button start use an Intelligent Access key that takes one CR2450 instead.
- Octane. The manual recommends 91 octane for full performance and allows 87. 87 will not harm the engine; the higher grade is a choice, not a requirement.
- Fuel. The Power Stroke diesel version runs on diesel fuel, and tank size depends on wheelbase and engine.
- Battery. Diesel trucks carry two of these batteries.
