Worth knowing about the 2014 Focus

  • Wipers. The rear blade is fitted to the hatchback only.
  • LED lighting. The license plate is a sealed LED unit with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. Models with HID headlamps use a D8S low-beam bulb.
  • Tires. The Focus ST and RS are not covered on this page.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 100 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the Sedan; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
  • Fuel. Flex-fuel 2.0L models can also run on E85.
