Worth knowing about the 2010 Fusion

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits tire chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), within limits on which tires and which wheels. Those limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything. Search Amazon for tire chains →
  • Tires. The manual allows SAE Class S cables on the front axle only with P205/60R16 tires and forbids any traction device on the P225/50R17 and P225/45R18 tires.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 100 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Fuel. The AWD models hold 16.5 gallons, and flex-fuel models, marked by a yellow fuel-filler bezel, can also run on E85.
