Worth knowing about the 2024 Maverick
- Wipers. Bosch and Trico agree on the lengths but name no arm connector.
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, license plate, dome / map light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. High-series trucks use LED rear side markers, and the cargo-box high-mount lamp takes a 912 bulb.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. Ultra-low-profile cables of 10 mm or less are allowed only with 225/65R17 and 225/60R18 all-season tires, never on 235/65R17, and the spare varies by powertrain and package (mini, full-size 215/70R17 or inflator kit).
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 148 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Key fob. Trucks without Intelligent Access use a CR2032 remote.
- Fuel. The hybrid holds 13.8 gal, and Ford recommends 91 octane for best performance from the 2.0L EcoBoost.
