Worth knowing about the 2018 Accord
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- LED lighting. The low beam, fog light, daytime running, front turn signal, brake light, tail light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. The LX through EX-L use a replaceable halogen high-beam bulb, and the Touring trims have sealed LED high beams. LED fog lights are on the Sport and above.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. Hybrid trims are covered by a separate owner's manual and carry a tire repair kit instead of a spare. The manual allows only SCC SC1036 cable chains, on the front tires, and only on 17-inch tires. Chains are not recommended on 19-inch tires.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 80 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (CWTWB1G0090) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Dimensions. The figures above are for the Sedan; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
