Worth knowing about the 2023 Accord
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate, dome / map light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The LX and EX carry a compact spare; the hybrid trims (Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, Touring) carry a tire repair kit. The manual allows only SCC SC1036 cable chains, on the front tires, and only on 17-inch tires. Chains are not recommended on 19-inch tires.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 80 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (KR5TP-4) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Fuel. The hybrid trims hold 12.8 gallons.
