Worth knowing about the 2023 Civic
- Wipers. Both front arms use a 19 mm push-button connector, not a J-hook.
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, front turn signal, brake light, tail light, license plate, dome / map light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual allows only the SCC cable chains it lists, on the front tires.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 80 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (KR5TP-4) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
