Worth knowing about the 2024 CR-V
- Wipers. The front arms use a 19 mm push-button connector and the 10-inch rear blade clips onto a Honda Rock Lock arm.
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, front turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate, dome / map light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. Hybrid trims carry a tire repair kit instead of a compact spare.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 80 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Roof load. The 165 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
