Worth knowing about the 2020 Palisade
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- LED lighting. The daytime running, front turn signal are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. Low and high beam codes are for the halogen headlamps; Limited and Calligraphy have sealed LED headlamps, and trims with LED taillamps have sealed LED tail, brake and turn lamps.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tires. The compact spare is a T155/90R18, and the manual allows SAE Class S or wire chains on the front tires but says not to fit chains to aluminum wheels and to use wire chains under 0.59 in. thick if that cannot be avoided.
- Wheels. The manual gives a lug nut torque range of 79 to 94 lb-ft.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (TQ8-FOB-4F29) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. Palisades without the proximity key use a folding remote key that also takes a CR2032.
- Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The 220 lb limit is for cargo spread evenly on the roof side rails and crossbars.
- Dimensions. GVWR is 5,732 lb with front-wheel drive and 5,871 lb with HTRAC all-wheel drive.
