Worth knowing about the 2022 Santa Cruz

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • LED lighting. The daytime running, tail light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. Trims with LED headlights have sealed low and high beams.

  • Tires. The manual allows chains on the front tires only, wire type only on aluminum wheels.
  • Wheels. The manual gives wheel nut torque as a range, 79 to 94 lb-ft (11 to 13 kgf-m), rather than a single figure.
  • Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
