Worth knowing about the 2026 Santa Fe

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. Every exterior lamp is a sealed LED unit except the reverse lamp, which the manual lists as a W16W bulb.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tires. The compact spare is a T135/90D17 (some models carry a tire mobility kit instead), and the manual allows wire chains under 0.47 in. thick or fabric-type chains on 18- and 20-in. tires, fabric-type chains only on the 245/45R21, and says not to fit chains to aluminum wheels.
  • Wheels. The manual gives a lug nut torque range of 79 to 94 lb-ft.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
  • Key fob. The 2024 redesign brought a new smart key on a CR2450 cell, sold under more than one FCC ID, so match the ID printed on your fob.
  • Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Dimensions. Height is for 18- and 20-in. wheels without the roof rack (the XRT stands 68.7 in), and GVWR is 5,534 lb with front-wheel drive and 5,677 lb with AWD.
