Worth knowing about the 2017 Sonata
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Bulbs. Some upper trims have HID (D3S) headlights and LED taillights, which are not replaceable bulbs of these types.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tires. Chains (SAE Class S or wire type, wire only on aluminum wheels) go on the front tires, and cars without a T125/80D16 or T135/80D17 compact spare carry a tire mobility kit instead.
- Wheels. The manual gives wheel nut torque as a range, 65 to 79 lb-ft (9 to 11 kgf-m), rather than a single figure.
- Key fob. The year is split between flip keys FCC TQ8-RKE-4F16 (95430-C1010) and TQ8-RKE-4F25 (95430-C1210), and push-button trims use a smart key.
