Worth knowing about the 2018 Tucson

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • Wipers. The rear blade is a 14-inch integral type that clips to Hyundai's own arm, so buy one listed for this model.
  • Bulbs. Some upper trims have HID (D3S) or LED headlights and LED taillights, which are sealed or not these bulb types.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.

  • Tires. Chains (SAE Class S or wire type, wire only on aluminum wheels) go on the front tires, and the compact spare is a T155/90D16.
  • Wheels. The manual gives wheel nut torque as a range, 79 to 94 lb-ft (11 to 13 kgf-m), rather than a single figure.
  • Key fob. Match the FCC ID (TQ8-RKE-4F25) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
  • Key fob. Trims with push-button start use a smart key that also takes a CR2032.
  • Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
