Worth knowing about the 2017 Veloster

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • Bulbs. The low beam is listed as H7 or H11B depending on the headlamp, and the fog lamp is 881 on the GDI and H8 on the Turbo.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tires. The manual says not to fit chains to aluminum wheels, and any chains go on the front tires only.
  • Wheels. The manual gives a lug nut torque range of 65~79 lb-ft.
  • Key fob. The remote transmitter and the smart key both take a CR2032.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the 1.6L GDI (non-turbo); other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
