Worth knowing about the 2023 QX60
- Wipers. Rain-X lists push-button (PTB) front arms while some RockAuto blades list a top-lock arm, so choose blades listed for this model.
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. Class S chains go on the front wheels on either factory size, and the compact spare is a T165/90D18.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 83 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Roof load. The 165 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The 165 lb figure is the roof side rails' service load, and the manual says not to exceed the crossbars' own rating.
- Garage fit. Allow 16.6 ft of length and 7.2 ft of width with the mirrors out.
- Dimensions. A front license plate bracket adds 0.5 in of length.
- Octane. The manual requires 87 octane and recommends 91 for full performance. Regular will not harm the engine; premium is a choice, not a requirement.
