Worth knowing about the 2024 Gladiator
- LED lighting. The license plate is a sealed LED unit with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. Halogen Overland and Rubicon models use a 7440NA front turn bulb, and LED headlamp, fog and tail packages are sealed units.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a full-size spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual allows Class S chains only on the Sport's 245/75R17 tires, rear axle, and AutoSock-type devices on the other factory sizes.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 130 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. Mojave wheels sit at a 37.17 mm offset and the others at 44.45 mm.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (OHT1130261) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. The part number depends on the buttons: 68416782AA with three and 68416784AA with four including remote start.
- Roof load. The 100 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The limit applies to the hard top only, crossbars included.
