Worth knowing about the 2020 Renegade
- Wipers. Rain-X lists push-button (PTB) front arms and a Rock Lock 3 rear arm, so choose blades listed for this model rather than by length alone.
- Bulbs. Codes are for halogen models (the PY24W bulb serves as parking lamp, daytime running lamp and front turn signal), and models with LED headlamps, LED fog lamps or LED tail lamps have sealed units.
- Tires. The manual allows 7 mm cable chains on the front tires only and only on 215/65R16 tires, and no other size may be chained.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 89 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. The Renegade uses wheel bolts rather than lug nuts, and the manual says to check their torque again after 25 miles.
- Key fob. Key sellers list both a flip key (FCC ID 2ADFTFI5AM433TX) and a proximity smart key (M3N-40821302) for this generation, so match the ID on your key.
- Roof load. The 150 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Fuel. The manual says 91-octane premium gives the 1.3L turbo its best performance.
