Worth knowing about the 2020 Forte

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • Bulbs. Trims with LED headlamps, daytime running lamps or taillamps have sealed units in those positions.
  • Tires. Cars without a T125/80D15 or T125/80D16 compact spare carry a tire mobility kit; the manual calls for SAE Class S chains on the front tires only and forbids chains on aluminum wheels.
  • Wheels. The owner's manual gives the wheel nut torque as a range, 79 to 94 lb-ft (107 to 127 Nm), rather than a single figure.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car will not pair on their own by driving; they need a relearn. Method: tool.
  • Dimensions. GVWR is for the 2.0-liter IVT; the 6-speed manual is rated 3,638 lb and the GT dual-clutch 3,968 lb.
