Worth knowing about the 2022 Forte
- Wipers. Rain-X lists 9x3 hook arms for both front blades.
- LED lighting. The fog light, daytime running are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. Headlamp and taillamp codes are for halogen, bulb-type lamps; the GT's LED headlamps and LED taillamps are sealed units.

- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The FE, LXS and GT-Line carry a tire mobility kit and the GT a compact spare, and the manual calls for SAE Class S chains on the front tires only, forbids chains on aluminum wheels and on 225/40R18 tires.
- Wheels. The owner's manual gives the wheel nut torque as a range, 79 to 94 lb-ft (107 to 127 Nm), rather than a single figure.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (CQOTD00660) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. GT-Line and GT trims have a push-button smart key instead.
- Dimensions. GVWR is for the 2.0-liter IVT; the GT is rated 3,968 lb with the dual-clutch and 3,880 lb with the manual.
