Worth knowing about the 2025 K5

  • Wipers. Rain-X lists 9x3 hook arms for both front blades.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, front turn signal are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. The tail code applies to bulb-type taillamps; LED taillamps are sealed units.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.

  • Tires. The compact spare is a T125/80D16, or a T135/80D18 on the GT, and the manual forbids chains on aluminum wheels but allows wire-type chains on the front tires if they cannot be avoided.
  • Wheels. The owner's manual gives the wheel nut torque as a range, 79 to 94 lb-ft (107 to 127 Nm), rather than a single figure.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
  • Key fob. The manual lists a CR2450 cell for this smart key, and locksmith catalogs disagree on its FCC ID.
  • Dimensions. GVWR is for front-wheel drive; the all-wheel-drive GT-Line is rated 4,519 lb and the GT 4,608 lb.
