Worth knowing about the 2017 Rio
- Wipers. The rear blade is on the 5-door only, and Rain-X lists 9x4 hook arms for both front blades.
- Bulbs. Headlamp codes are for the sedan; the 5-door uses an H11B low beam and H1 high beam.

- Tires. A tire mobility kit is standard with a T125/80D15 compact spare optional.
- Wheels. The owner's manual gives the wheel nut torque as a range, 65 to 79 lb-ft (88 to 107 Nm), rather than a single figure.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (TQ8-RKE-3F05) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. Remote keyless entry is optional on the base LX, which otherwise has a plain key.
