Worth knowing about the 2019 Rio

  • Wipers. Rain-X lists 9x3 hook arms for the front blades.
  • Bulbs. Codes are for halogen headlamps and bulb-type taillamps; LED lamps are sealed units.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.

  • Tires. The compact spare is a T125/80D15, and the manual calls for SAE Class S chains on the front tires only and forbids chains on aluminum wheels.
  • Wheels. The owner's manual gives the wheel nut torque as a range, 79 to 94 lb-ft (107 to 127 Nm), rather than a single figure.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
