Worth knowing about the 2021 Rio
- Wipers. Rain-X lists 9x3 hook arms for the front blades.
- Bulbs. These are the manual's ECE codes for halogen headlamps and bulb-type taillamps; LED lamps are sealed units.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The compact spare is a T125/80D15, and the manual calls for SAE Class S chains on the front tires only and forbids chains on aluminum wheels.
- Wheels. The owner's manual gives the wheel nut torque as a range, 79 to 94 lb-ft (107 to 127 Nm), rather than a single figure.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (NYOSYEC4TX1611) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. Kia changed the remote's part number during this generation, so match it by FCC ID.
