Worth knowing about the 2011 Sorento
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Bulbs. The 881 fog bulb is for the LX and EX; the SX uses an H8 fog bulb and LED taillamps.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tires. The compact spare is a T165/90R17 at 60 psi, and the manual recommends snow tires over chains, says not to fit chains to aluminum wheels, and allows only wire chains under 0.59 in (15 mm) thick if chains must be used, on the front wheels of 2WD models and all four wheels of 4WD models.
- Wheels. The owner's manual gives the wheel nut torque as a range, 65 to 79 lb-ft (88 to 107 Nm), rather than a single figure.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Cars without the smart key use a separate transmitter that also takes a CR2032.
- Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. Roof rails were optional on the LX.
- Dimensions. The roof rack adds 1.4 in of height.
