Worth knowing about the 2019 Sorento
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- LED lighting. The daytime running is a sealed LED unit with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. Codes are for halogen headlamps; LED headlamp trims have sealed units, and the manual lists P21/5W tail and brake bulbs, a PY27W rear turn bulb and C5W license bulbs that the catalogs cross to different codes, so those are blank.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tires. The compact spare is a T165/90R17, and the manual allows SAE Class S or wire chains on the front tires but says not to fit chains to aluminum wheels and to use wire chains under 0.59 in. thick if that cannot be avoided.
- Wheels. The manual gives a lug nut torque range of 79 to 94 lb-ft.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (TQ8-FOB-4F06) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. Sorentos without the smart key use a flip key (FCC ID OSLOKA-910T) that also takes a CR2032.
- Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Dimensions. Height is without the roof rack (66.5 in with it), and GVWR runs from 5,026 to 5,622 lb by engine, seating and drivetrain.
