Worth knowing about the 2026 Sorento
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tires. No 2026 brochure trim list was found, so sizes are grouped by wheel diameter; the compact spare (where fitted) is a T135/90D17, and the manual allows wire chains under 0.47 in. thick on 17- and 18-in. tires, requires fabric-type chains on 20-in. tires, and says not to fit chains to aluminum wheels.
- Wheels. The manual gives a lug nut torque range of 79 to 94 lb-ft.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. The 2024 refresh brought a new smart key that takes a CR2450.
- Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Dimensions. Height is without the roof rack (66.9 in with it, 70.3 in on the X-Line), and GVWR is 5,401 lb with front-wheel drive and 5,512 lb with AWD.
