Worth knowing about the 2025 Sportage
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, tail light, reverse light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. The turn signal and stop bulbs apply to trims without LED rear and turn lamps; on other trims those are sealed LED units.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual allows SAE Class S chains on the front tires only, wire chains under 12 mm on the 17-inch tires and fabric chains on the 18- and 19-inch tires, and the LX may carry a tire mobility kit instead of the T135/90D17 compact spare.
- Wheels. The manual gives a lug nut torque range of 79 to 94 lb-ft.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Trims with a smart key and push-button start also use a CR2032.
- Roof load. The 220 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. Some trims come without roof rails.
- Dimensions. The figures above are for the 2.5L FWD with roof rails; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
- Dimensions. AWD models with roof rails stand 66.3 inches tall, and the X-Line stands 66.9 inches.
