Worth knowing about the 2026 NX

  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. The WY21W front turn bulb applies to models with bulb-type front turn signals; the others use sealed LED units.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits tire chains or cables, within limits on which tires and which wheels. Those limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything. Search Amazon for tire chains →
  • Tires. Tire chains go on the front tires and cannot be fitted to 235/50R20 tires; depending on the model the NX carries a puncture repair kit or run-flat tires instead of a spare.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 103 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Wheels. This generation uses wheel bolts rather than lug nuts.
  • Roof load. The 176 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Roof. The limit applies to vehicles with roof rails.
  • Dimensions. Height is 65.7 in. or 66.1 in. depending on the model.
  • Octane. The manual recommends 91 octane for full performance and allows 87. 87 will not harm the engine; the higher grade is a choice, not a requirement.
  • Fuel. The NX 350 turbo requires 91 octane.
