Worth knowing about the 2016 RX
- Wipers. Rain-X lists push-button (PTB) front arms and a Toyota-type rear arm, so choose blades listed for this model rather than by length alone.
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, brake light, tail light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. The bulb-type turn signals apply to models with single-beam LED headlights; models with triple-beam headlights use sealed LED turn signals.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.

- Tires. Tire chains go on the front tires only, and the compact spare is a T165/90D18.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 76 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool (new sensor ID codes are registered by a Lexus dealer; after a pressure change, initialize through the multi-information display)); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (HYQ14FBB) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Roof load. The 165 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
