Worth knowing about the 2026 TX

  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tire chains. The manual says not to fit tire chains on this vehicle.
  • Tires. The TX 550h+ has no spare tire and carries a tire puncture repair kit instead.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 103 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Roof load. The 154 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the TX 350 and TX 550h+; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
  • Octane. Premium (91 octane) is required, not recommended; the manual says so.
  • Fuel. The TX 500h holds 17.2 gallons and the TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid 14.5 gallons.
