Worth knowing about the 2026 Navigator

  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate, dome / map light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a full-size spare.
  • Tires. The 285/40R24 size comes with the Black Label's optional 24-inch wheels, and the manual allows chains only on 265/70R17 and 275/65R18 tires.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 150 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Roof load. The 100 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Roof. The limit is 175 lb on vehicles without a glass roof.
  • Octane. The manual recommends 91 octane for full performance and allows 87. 87 will not harm the engine; the higher grade is a choice, not a requirement.
  • Fuel. The long-wheelbase Navigator L has a 27.8-gallon tank.
