Worth knowing about the 2017 CX-9

  • Wipers. Rain-X lists these front arms as a push-button (D-PTB) type, so choose blades listed for this model rather than by length alone.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, brake light, tail light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. Models with adaptive (AFS) headlights have sealed LED front turn signals, and parts catalogs list a 7440 where the manual prints WY21W (7443NA).
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare, size T155/90D17. Search Amazon for spare tires →
  • Tire chains. The manual permits tire chains or cables, within limits on which tires and which wheels. Those limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything. Search Amazon for tire chains →
  • Tires. The manual allows chains on the front tires only and says to fit P255/60R18 tires first on models with 20-inch wheels.
  • Wheels. The manual gives a lug nut torque range of 80 to 108 lb-ft.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the AWD; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
